SOS Friends and Families
E-Group
SOS
Friends and Families E-Support Group
** SOS Friends
and Families is a
support group for
the loved ones of
those suffering from
addiction.
** We follow the
mission of SOS in
abstinance for the
alcoholic/addict and
secular in nature
(non-religious).
** Family and
friends may not be
addicted themselves
but their lives are
greatly affected by
the addictive
behavior of a loved
one and they too
need support, advice
and the opportunity
to share and learn.
SOS can offer
support from people
who have been on
both sides; the
experience of
recovering addicts
and from others who
have had to deal
with the problems
related to active
addiction and the
recovery process.
** This group
primarily focuses on
issues with friends
and families of the
addicted and there
are other groups for
support specifically
for those WITH the
addiction issue.
Please contact the
listowner for more
details on these
other groups as well
as other
information.
Warmest Welcome to
all!

SOS
Journal
SOS
International Journal E-group
SOS Journal is a place where men and women
who are using alternative methods of
recovery self-help (such as SOS) can come to
share journal entries which are or have been
a part of their recovery journey.
Journaling is an integral part of recovery
for many people. Some use it as a method of
putting thoughts and feelings into
perspective, some use it as a mechanism for
venting anger disillusionment and sorrow,
some use it as a way in which to celebrate
victories and triumphs in their recovery.
All are valid, and all will be welcomed in
this forum.
The purpose of this site is not to obtain
feedback from others -- that's what
sossaveourselves and soswomen provide. It
is, rather, a forum where people can write
their thoughts and feelings as an
alternative to pen and paper, can share
their writing with others for the purpose of
assisting those who are still struggling, or
just to vent feelings around urges, possibly
preventing slips and relapses. |
